The Anniversary Banquet held at Messiah United Methodist Church, Plymouth, Minnesota was deemed a huge success by those in attendance. June Berwald's nutcracker collection adorned the tables which were set with traditional Christmas colors of red and green. Each place setting had a souvenir menu which included a first day cancel on the Santa Claus stamp and a second day Christmas in Minnesota cancel on the cardinal ATM stamp and several other favors. The menu was typical Christmas fare, Minnesota style: Tossed Salad, Roast Turkey with Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Cranberry Sauce, Vegetable, Hot Apple Cider, Coffee and the Christmas Philatelic Club 25th Anniversary Cake.

After the delicious dinner, exhibit awards were given out by Judge Mary Ann Owens. Mary Turner won the Grand Award for her "Christmas Angels" exhibit while Joan Klimchalk received the Reserve Grand for her "Dear Santa" exhibit. A special award was presented by President Robert Haslewood to Vaughn Augustin for 23 years service as Secretary/Treasurer for CPC. President Bob also presented June Berwarld with a special gift on behalf of the Club for her diligent work, organizing "Christmas in Minnesota."

Banquet attendees walked away with one of the door prizes, generously donated by CPC members. It sure felt a lot like Christmas.

Back at the hotel, Dorothy Henderson led a craft session and shared some of the wonderful fun things her local club does at their get togethers. Dorothy demonstrated how to make a large snowflake decoration using the plastic holders that keep pop cans together. It was a wonderfully relaxing and interesting evening to complete a busy day.
